da blaze casino: Giving his predictions for some of this weekend’s key fixtures, Charlie Nicholas has issued his verdict on Wolves as they gear up for the challenge of Burnley.
What’s he said?
Nicholas was offering his opinion on whether he thinks the Midlands club can beat the Clarets in their next game. In the process, he praised their season so far, telling Sky Sports:
‘Wolves have been the story of the season, sitting in seventh. They have been breathtaking to watch at times. They will mix it up with Burnley and be busy.’
The pundit also gave his view on the way Nuno Santo has got his team playing, particularly focusing on their attacking potency.
‘Wolves have the physical balance as well as the ability to counter-attack. The Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez partnership has got better, it is an old-fashioned partnership that worked well for Wolves this season.’
Is he right?
It’s incredibly hard to disagree with Nicholas. Wolves have been absolutely phenomenal to watch this season and, as a result, it would not be surprising if Santo was given the manager of the season award for just how far he’s taken the club this term.
They’ve been one of the best newly promoted sides we’ve seen in Premier League history and the pundit’s view on Jota and Jimenez is also spot on, with a smaller and trickier forward complimenting a taller striker.
They have been a major part in Wolves’ success with the pair of them taking to life in England’s top flight brilliantly.
We’ve found Raul Jimenez’s No. 1 fan and… it’s a little scary. Check out the video below to see for yourself…
Jimenez has to be signed on a permanent deal when his loan from Benfica expires in the summer. He’s been imperative, scoring 15 in all competitions. His attacking partner meanwhile has seven goals and four assists to his name.
The defence has played their part this season too, but their two primary attackers will be vital to their chances of securing a win at Turf Moor on Saturday.
