da realsbet: Rangers may have already made their first major move in the January transfer market, as reports claim Dominic Solanke is “all set” to move to Ibrox.
What’s the story?
According to TalkSPORT, Solanke will join Rangers in January, while Umar Sadiq will return to Roma.
Solanke was heavily linked with a move in the summer, and it certainly felt like Sadiq was the second choice.
The Nigerian youngster has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox, and Solanke has also suffered from a lack of playing time on Merseyside.
The report claims the Gers are “in pole position” to sign the 21 year-old on loan, though Crystal Palace are also interested.

The perfect foil for Morelos?
Solanke doesn’t offer the dynamism that Alfredo Morelos does, but the youngster’s versatility, work rate and hold-up play will be a huge asset for Steven Gerrard.
Most importantly of all though, the England youth star just knows how to stick the ball in the back of the net.
He scored four goals in two games during this latest international break for England’s Under-21 side, and has now racked up 35 goals in 67 games at the various levels of the international set-up.
The Liverpool starlet hasn’t found his scoring touch in the Premier League, but his ability to play anywhere across the front three is a huge boost to Gerrard’s squad depth, and will also allow the gaffer to play two up front.
So, Rangers fans, are you happy with a loan move for Solanke? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
