While there are few players in the squad that show as much passion and energy as the nine-cap Senegalese international, he simply isn’t good enough to be a part of Silva’s high-tempo system.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun are also struggling for goals, so we could see a complete overhaul of the striker ranks in January, which would of course involve selling Niasse to raise funds.
