da winzada777: As quoted by The Daily Mirror, former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has insisted the club could “definitely” sign Ben Chilwell.
What did he say?
The Leicester full-back has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers, and this season he has averaged an impressive 1.5 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 1.4 key passes per game.
His run of form has led to reports in recent weeks and months to suggest that United could be interested in making a big-money swoop for the 22-year-old, and Brown has thrown his backing behind a potential move.
He said: “I still think United is a draw for players. We’re still buying big players, and a lot of good English players with Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka coming in.

“The left-back situation is a tough one. Chilwell is excellent and Leicester are on a brilliant run and you can see the whole team has been lifted. They’re on a winning run and everyone can feel it and they’re enjoying it. But if United went in for Chilwell I’m sure he would definitely come, 100%.”
Maguire 2.0
Having already snared Harry Maguire from Leicester earlier in the summer for an eye-watering £80m, United would really be raiding the Leicester cabinet even further with a potential swoop for Chilwell. Valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt, the Red Devils would undoubtedly have to spend a sizeable sum of money to prise him away from Brendan Rodgers’ side.

However, as Maguire’s move in particular showed, however much United struggle, they remain a big draw for any player. The name and history of the club is never going to go away, and when someone hears that the Red Devils are interested in signing them, that holds a different sway.
