da bet7k: After an interesting first week, the Premier League returned for Gameweek Two, with a number of mouth-watering ties, Chelsea v Arsenal on Saturday night being the highlight. The game truly delivered with five goals, an Arsenal comeback and many talking points, elsewhere we were treated to a Man City masterclass and a Man Utd malfunction. You’ve seen the scores, but as ever, with ten matches on, it’s hard to catch all the great moments, so we have taken the time to round up of the best ones. From a rare Harry Kane goal to Jesse Lingard responding to Dele Alli, we’ve spotted it all this weekend in the Premier League
Danny Ings’ Shirt
After scoring his first goal for Southampton to bring his side back into it at Goodison Park, Danny Ings was a man possessed searching for an equaliser.
Running after almost every ball, Ings chased down Jordon Pickford but ended up getting the goalkeeper’s boot down his back. There was denying the England number one caught him, a scratch down his back and a ripped shirt was hard enough evidence surely?
Aubameyang’s Day To Forget And Tweet
It’s fair to say Pierre-Emeric Aubameyang had a day to forget at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal’s frontman missed two guilt-etched chances from just yards out. Had he and Mkhitaryan put their chances away in the first half, the Gunners could have been out of site.
The Gabon international felt so guilty for missing that he took to Twitter on Saturday night to vent his frustrations.
Guendouzi’s Pass And Reaction
After playing an incredible through ball to set up Aubameyang, the 19-year-old showed real frustration in the miss.
Arsenal fans loved his response, a passionate player that Arsenal have been lacking for many years.
Mitrovic’s Improvised Header
His side may have lost at Wembley but Alexandr Mitrovic scored one of the goal’s of the gameweek, not because it was a 25-yard screamer, but for the forward’s improvisation.
After missing out on the first cross, the Serbian was on the floor when the Ryan Sessegnon put the ball back into the six-yard box, so while sat down Mitrovic sent his header goal wards.
Harry Kane Scored In August
It finally happened, Harry Kane scored in August after 49 shots in 14 league games.
He arguably should have had a hat trick as Spurs had 25 attempts on goal against Fulham in a 3-1 win.
Matt Doherty’s Own Goal
We enjoyed Mitrovic’s header at Wembley but we cringed at Matt Doherty’s own goal. What was going through his mind we don’t know, but it was one hell of a header.
James Maddison’s Handshake Celebration
After Dele Alli sent the internet crazy with his ‘eye’ celebration, James Maddison revealed his own quirky celebration after extending Leicester’s lead against Wolves.
Karma For Kenedy
Easily the most boring game of the weekend was the early kick-off at the Cardiff City Stadium, but for late drama as Newcastle were awarded a penalty in the 94th minute.
Up stepped Brazilian midfielder Kenedy, unfortunately for him he saw his effort saved by Neil Etheridge.
A hint of karma about it as he was lucky to be on the field having kicked out at Victor Camarasa earlier in the game.
City On Tinder
Man City continued their weird sponsorship deal with Tinder, lucikly there was no massive blimp above the Etihad, just the advertising hoardings.
