da dobrowin: Reports suggest that Javier Hernandez is causing a toxic atmosphere in the West Ham dressing room.
da bet sport: The former Real Madrid forward is currently the highest earning player at the club following his move from Bayer Leverkusen but finds himself out-of-favour under Manuel Pellegrini. Seeing a key player sit on the sidelines while collecting the most money is reportedly causing plenty of issues in the West Ham dressing room. West Ham’s regulars are far from happy and want their wages to be brought in line with their role in the first-team.
One man who wants a new contract is Marko Arnautovic. The Austria international reportedly wants around £200,000-per-week to stay at the London Stadium amidst interest from Manchester United. The Hammers have baulked at his demands which could see the likelihood of a move to the Red Devils increasing.
His creativity would be a massive loss for the club who are without Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini through injury. Therefore, Pellegrini should make a move for Monaco hotshot – Rony Lopes.
Valued at £25.2m by Transfermarkt, the Portuguese joined Manchester City’s youth academy back in 2011 after spending five years climbing the ranks with Benfica. Pellegrini was the man to hand him his City debut, but Lopes ultimately failed to make the grade and was sold to Monaco. Lopes has finally found his feet in Ligue 1 and starred under Leonardo Jardim last year. With the French side languishing near the bottom of the table, he could be tempted to move back to England.
The 22-year-old netted 15 league goals and notched five assists last year highlighting the threat he poses in attack. Able to play centrally or on either wing, Lopes would be a valuable rotation option for Pellegrini to have at his disposal. The Portugal international has the quality to unlock Premier League defences and dribbling ability that makes him a nightmare to deal with.
Giving Lopes a second chance to shine in England could prove to be a masterstroke.
