da bet nacional: According to reports in the Mail on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur were keen to appoint current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp when he was in charge of previous club Borussia Dortmund, and Spurs fans are glad they didn’t get the German.
da bwin: The Mail on Sunday says that the north London outfit – along with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City – enquired about his services before they appointed Mauricio Pochettino in 2014, but he decided to stay with the Bundesliga outfit for another season.
Since Liverpool got Klopp in 2015, Pochettino has led Spurs to third and second-placed finishes in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons respectively, while the Merseyside outfit came eighth and then fourth in the same campaigns.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the story, and while one said “thank God that didn’t happen”, another said “we dodged a bullet there”.
