da dobrowin: West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has ruled out the possibility of taking over the Scotland national team.
da bet esporte: The former Chelsea and West ham assistant boss has made a seamless transition from being number two up to being the man in charge, since taking over the Baggies.
Current Scotland Manager Craig Levein is under intense pressure after losses to both Wales and Belgium in the country’s last round of 2014 World Cup Qualifiers, effectively ending their hopes of making the tournament.
The Scottish FA did mention earlier this week that they would make no hasty decisions regarding the management team of the national side.
Whether they will deliberate and still decide to dismiss the former Dundee United chief remains to be seen. There have evens been calls for him to quit in some quarters.
Despite this Clarke wanted to nip any escalation of him being poised to take over the role in the bud. He reiterated that he was under contract with his current employers and that situation was not about to change any time soon.
When asked by Sky sports about any interest in the position he added “No, no. I’m under contract here at West Bromwich Albion.”
Even though he denied any possibility of himself being in the hotseat he did discuss the national team’s fortunes.
Clarke continued to sky sports that “Obviously the results are disappointing. If you go back to the Wales game, if the second goal that was disallowed is allowed to stand, I think Scotland win the game. Games can turn on those margins.”
The Baggies boss now turns to matters slightly more in hand with the visit of Manchester City to the Hawthorns on Saturday.
