da cassino online: Alex Iwobi should not be playing for Arsenal.
The winger was a key part of the Gunners’ stunning 3-1 loss to Wolves on Wednesday evening.
On the chalkboard
Manager Unai Emery has regularly trusted Iwobi this season.
He has played 46 times in all-competitions, scoring five goals and laying on seven assists.
But his display against Wolves should put paid to any possibility of the Nigeria international remaining at the club.
Per WhoScored, he touched the ball a total of 55 times throughout the encounter but had just one shot on goal, which was blocked and did not even test goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
Iwobi did not complete a dribble, staggering for a left winger player, nor did he win an aerial duel or make a tackle. He was dribbled past once, though.
He had the lowest rating of any outfield player on the pitch and had absolutely no impact on the game in the final third.
His position, then, is one that surely needs upgrading in the summer transfer window.
A symptom of mismanagement
Arsenal have too many bang-average players in their squad and Iwobi is perhaps the poster boy.
Aged 22, many Gunners fans remain optimistic that he will eventually deliver on his long-heralded potential.
That already appears to be optimistic.
Iwobi does not have the explosiveness required of a modern winger, nor does he have the eye for goal.
He is, at the very most, good for depth.
This summer, Emery should be shipping Iwobi, and plenty of others, out of the club as he looks to take the club back into the Champions League and compete at the top of the table.
